Ingredients

Scale

Brownie Base

  • 1 box of brownie mix
  • Required oil (as per brownie mix instructions)
  • Required water (as per brownie mix instructions)
  • Required eggs (as per brownie mix instructions)

Decorations

  • 16 pretzel twists
  • 16 candy eyes
  • 8 red M&M candies
  • 1 Tablespoon chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Brownie Batter: Follow the instructions on the brownie mix box by combining the mix with the specified quantity of oil, water, and eggs. Stir until the batter is smooth and well combined.
  2. Bake the Brownies: Pour the batter evenly into a greased baking pan and bake as directed by the brownie mix package, usually around 20-25 minutes at 350°F (175°C), or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow the brownies to cool completely before decorating.
  3. Create the Reindeer Faces: Once cooled, cut the brownies into squares. Place two pretzel twists on each brownie square to resemble antlers. Attach one candy eye on each side towards the upper half of the brownie to create eyes.
  4. Add the Noses: For the noses, place a red M&M candy in the center bottom portion of the brownie face.
  5. Use Chocolate Chips for Mouths: Melt the chocolate chips slightly if desired, and use the melted chocolate to attach the candy eyes and M&M noses securely. You can also add a small chocolate chip below the nose to mimic a mouth.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Arrange the decorated brownies on a festive platter and serve as a delightful holiday treat.

Notes

  • Ensure the brownies are completely cooled before decorating to prevent melting or sliding of decorations.
  • You can substitute candy eyes and red M&Ms with equivalent candies if preferred or for allergy considerations.
  • Using melted chocolate chips as edible glue helps keep decorations firmly in place.
  • Store leftover brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • For added fun, you can pipe a small amount of frosting around the base of the pretzels for extra decoration.
