Ingredients

Scale

Meat and Aromatics

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

Seasonings

  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Liquids & Dairy

  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups milk (or heavy cream for extra richness)
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter

Other Ingredients

  • 12 oz (340g) pasta (penne, rotini, or fettuccine)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef & Garlic: Heat olive oil in a large deep skillet or pot over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook for 5-6 minutes, breaking it up with a spoon until browned and cooked through. Stir in minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Cook for another 1 minute until the garlic is fragrant.
  2. Add Liquid & Pasta: Pour in the beef broth and milk, stirring well to combine. Add the pasta and sprinkle Italian seasoning evenly over the mixture. Make sure the pasta is mostly submerged in the liquid. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then cover and cook for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and has absorbed most of the liquid.
  3. Make it Creamy: Lower the heat to low. Stir in the grated parmesan cheese and butter until completely melted and the sauce turns creamy and smooth. Taste and adjust the seasoning by adding more salt or pepper if needed. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of milk or broth to loosen it up.
  4. Serve & Enjoy: Garnish the creamy beef pasta with chopped fresh parsley and additional parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately, accompanied by garlic bread or a fresh side salad for a complete meal.

Notes

  • Make it extra creamy by swapping milk for heavy cream.
  • For more flavor, add mushrooms or spinach before simmering the pasta.
  • Storage: Keeps well in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently with a splash of milk to restore creaminess.
