Ingredients

Scale

Chicken Wings

  • 2 lb. bone-in chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or any vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons lemon pepper seasoning or Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste (omit salt if seasoning contains salt)

Sauce

  • 4 tablespoons melted butter (½ stick)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving

For Serving

  • Caesar or ranch dressing, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Wings: Pat the 2 lb. bone-in chicken wings dry with paper towels to help them crisp up during cooking. In a large bowl, toss the wings with 2 tablespoons olive oil, 2 teaspoons lemon pepper seasoning or Italian seasoning, and salt and pepper to taste. Ensure all wings are evenly coated.
  2. Cook the Wings: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Arrange the wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a wire rack over a sheet to allow air circulation. Bake for about 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are golden brown and crispy.
  3. Make the Sauce: While the wings are baking, melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add 3 cloves of minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes, being careful not to burn the garlic. Remove from heat and stir in 2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley, 1 teaspoon lemon zest, and ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese until well combined.
  4. Toss Wings with Sauce: Once the wings are done, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the warm lemon garlic Parmesan sauce over the wings and toss thoroughly until every wing is coated with the flavorful mixture.
  5. Serve: Serve the wings hot, garnished with extra grated Parmesan cheese if desired. Accompany with Caesar or ranch dressing for dipping to enhance the flavor experience.

Notes

  • You can bake the wings on a wire rack set on a baking sheet for extra crispiness.
  • Adjust garlic quantity to taste if you prefer a milder or stronger garlic flavor.
  • For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • Leftover wings can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in a hot oven or air fryer to retain crispiness.
