Ingredients

Scale

Burger Sliders

  • 2 lbs 80/20 ground beef
  • 12 pack Hawaiian rolls
  • 11 slices Colby Jack cheese or American cheese
  • 1 large sweet onion, diced
  • 24 dill pickles
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cracked pepper

Easy Burger Sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1.5 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 2 teaspoons pickled juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Easy Burger Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard, pickled juice, and cayenne pepper until smooth. Set aside to let the flavors meld.
  2. Prepare the Ground Beef: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and cracked pepper. Gently mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat to keep sliders tender.
  3. Form Patties: Divide the meat into 11 equal portions and shape each into thin patties roughly the size of the Hawaiian rolls. This ensures the meat cooks evenly inside the slider buns.
  4. Cook the Patties: Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and browned, then place a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
  5. Prepare the Rolls: Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally into two halves. Spread softened butter evenly on the cut sides of both top and bottom halves.
  6. Toast the Rolls: Place the buttered sides of the rolls on a clean skillet or griddle over medium heat until golden and toasted, about 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat.
  7. Assemble the Sliders: On the bottom half of the toasted Hawaiian rolls, spread a layer of the prepared burger sauce. Add the cooked cheeseburger patties, then evenly distribute diced sweet onions and dill pickles on top.
  8. Finish and Serve: Place the top half of the rolls over the assembled sliders and gently press down. Cut the entire pack into individual sliders if still connected. Serve immediately for best taste.

Notes

  • You can substitute Colby Jack cheese with American or cheddar cheese depending on preference.
  • For a spicier kick, increase cayenne pepper in the burger sauce or add jalapeño slices to the sliders.
  • If preferred, you can broil the assembled sliders in the oven for 2-3 minutes to melt the cheese before serving.
  • Make sure not to overmix the ground beef to keep the sliders juicy and tender.
  • Leftover sliders can be reheated covered in the oven at 350°F for 10 minutes.
