These Easter Pudding Dirt Cups are a fun and festive treat perfect for spring celebrations. Layers of creamy chocolate pudding, crushed Oreo cookies, and green-dyed coconut create a playful dirt cup look, topped with colorful Peeps marshmallow bunnies and Cadbury Mini Eggs for a delightful Easter-themed dessert that kids and adults will love.

Ingredients

Scale

Pudding Mixture

  • 5.9 oz instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 ½ cups milk
  • 8 oz Cool Whip (whipped topping)

Layers and Decoration

  • 15 Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1 cup green food-dyed shredded coconut
  • 1 Peeps marshmallow bunny
  • Cadbury Mini Eggs (amount to preference for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Mix Pudding: In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and milk for 2 minutes until the mixture thickens and is smooth.
  2. Add Cool Whip: Gently fold the Cool Whip into the pudding mixture until well combined. Refrigerate the pudding mixture for 10-15 minutes to chill and thicken further.
  3. Assemble Layers: Using a piping bag or an ice cream scoop, add a layer of the pudding mixture to the bottom of each serving cup. Sprinkle a layer of crushed Oreo cookies on top, then repeat with more pudding and cookie layers until cups are filled.
  4. Decorate: Sprinkle the top layer with green-dyed shredded coconut to mimic grass. Place a Peeps marshmallow bunny on each cup and garnish with Cadbury Mini Eggs for a colorful Easter look.
  5. Chill Before Serving: Refrigerate the assembled dirt cups for at least one hour to set and chill before serving.

Notes

  • For best results, chill the pudding mixture before assembling to ensure it holds layers properly.
  • Crush Oreo cookies finely for a more dirt-like texture.
  • Green food coloring can be adjusted to desired coconut tint.
  • These cups can be made a few hours ahead and refrigerated until serving.
  • Feel free to substitute Cool Whip with homemade whipped cream if preferred.
