Ingredients

Scale

Bubblegum Mint Infused Simple Syrup

  • 3 ounces homemade bubblegum mint infused simple syrup

Drink

  • 3 ounces rum
  • 3 ounces fresh lime juice
  • 6 ounces carbonated soda water
  • 10 pieces bubble gum, divided
  • Fresh mint leaves, for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons corn syrup
  • Pink food coloring (optional)
  • Pink colored sugar, for rimming glass
  • Cocktail skewers

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Glass Rim: Pour the pink colored sugar onto a small plate. Brush the rim of your serving glasses with the corn syrup and then dip the rims into the pink sugar, ensuring an even coating for a festive look.
  2. Muddle Bubblegum Pieces: In each glass, place 2 pieces of bubble gum and gently muddle them with a muddler to release the sweet bubblegum flavor without breaking down completely.
  3. Add Lime Juice and Syrup: Pour 3 ounces of fresh lime juice and 3 ounces of the bubblegum mint infused simple syrup into each glass. Stir gently to combine the flavors.
  4. Add Rum: Pour 3 ounces of rum into each glass, then stir again to mix well.
  5. Add Ice and Soda Water: Fill the glass with ice cubes and top off with 6 ounces of carbonated soda water. Stir lightly to maintain carbonation.
  6. Garnish: Add a sprig of fresh mint and a cocktail skewer threaded with remaining bubble gum pieces as a fun garnish. Optionally, add a drop of pink food coloring to enhance the pink hue of the cocktail.
  7. Serve Immediately: Enjoy your Bubblegum Mojito chilled for a sweet and refreshing cocktail experience.

Notes

  • The homemade bubblegum mint infused simple syrup can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • If you prefer a less sweet cocktail, adjust the amount of simple syrup to taste.
  • Using fresh lime juice is essential for the authentic tangy mojito flavor.
  • Pink food coloring is optional and only used to enhance the visual appeal.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, substitute rum with an equal amount of extra soda water or a lemon-lime soda.
  • Ensure to chew the bubble gum garnish after enjoying the drink for a playful, lingering bubblegum taste.
